Joyce Eva Weisner

Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Joyce Eva (Skiver) Weisner, 89, of Rockville, Maryland, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2015. Joyce was born June 13, 1925 to Harry and Emily (Fowkes) Greaves of Leicester, England. Joyce came to the US after meeting a GI, Myrl Wayne Skiver who was serving with the 82nd Airborne stationed in England. They were married for 38 years before Mryl passed away in 1985. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Howell Weisner, and his family, who reside in North Carolina. In addition, she is survived by her two children: Malcolm Skiver (Robin) and Teri Busch (Bob). Joyce was preceded to Heaven by her son, Eric Skiver who passed away in 2006 and her grandson, Steven Wayne Skiver who passed away in 1994. She is also survived by two grandsons, Craig Curtis (Kimberly), Jeff Curtis (Janice) and step-grandson, Michael Busch (Johanne). Joyce was much beloved by her great-grandchildren, Tiffany and Danielle Skiver, Charlie Jenkins, Joy Curtis, Courtney and Kyle Curtis, Alex and Alyssa Busch.

She was a warm and caring person who will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched.

Services will be held 1 p.m., Monday. April 13,, 2015 at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
