Bernard J. Sikora, 96, of Trimble, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015 at his residence. He was born August 13, 1918 in Murray City, son of the late Frank and Bernice Salva Sikora. He was the widower of the late Ruth Antle Sikora.
Bernie was a United States WWII Army Veteran, member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Glouster, past member of the American Legion Post 420, past Commander of Post 9866 and a member of the D.A.V.
He is survived by his daughters, Irene and Cheryl; sister, Irene Kovatch of North Carolina and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, April 16, 2015 at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, 31 Republic Ave., Glouster with Fr. Christopher Foxhoven officiating. Interment will be held at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Trimble with a military graveside service conducted by the Combined Color Guard Unit. Friends may call at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 30 Main St., Glouster on Wednesday, from 4-8 PM with a Prayer Vigil beginning at 5:30 PM.
