Effie Marie Keiffer

Effie Marie Keiffer, 91, of The Plains, passed away Friday, April 24, 2015 at OhioHealth O’Bleness Hospital in Athens. She was born September 22, 1923 in Hocking County, the daughter of the late Ashford and Winifred Riddlebarger Stufflebean. She was the widow of the late Roy M. Keiffer.

Marie was a member of the Nelsonville Wesleyan Church.

She is survived by her sons, Eugene (Mary) Keiffer of Nelsonville and Charles (Nellie) Keiffer of Logan; daughters, Mary Miller of Sand Run, Shirley (David) Call of Nelsonville, Shelia (Melvin) Teal of Logan, Carolyn Pennell of Wilshire, OH, Kathy (Howard) Baker of Logan and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Lou Keiffer; brothers, Clarence, Earl and Charles Stufflebean; sisters, Betty Orlando, Margaret Davis, Louise Hall, Evelyn Simonton, Ruth Maffin, Laurie Cunningham and a son-in-law, Paul Miller.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, April 27, 2015 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Pastor Mike Thomas officiating. Interment will be at Carbon Hill Cemetery in Carbon Hill. Friends may call Monday, from 12:00 PM, until the time of service, at the funeral home.
