Mary Louise Bryan Frey, 95, of Logan, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2015 at The Carlin House in Logan. She was born August 12, 1919 in Union Furnace, daughter of the late Otho H. and Ruth Clark Bryan. Mary Louise was the widow of the late Addison A. Frey, who passed away January 12, 1999; they were married for 57 years.
Mary Louise retired after 32 years of service from the Hocking County Courthouse. She began her career in the Auditors office with Kenneth Fitzgerald, then to the Treasurers office with Ralph Moorehead and Francis “Scrappy” Myers until her retirement in 1975. She was a member of the former Trinity United Methodist Church, the state and local PERI, the Hocking County Historical Society, Twig 1 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital and was a member of Hocking Hills Artists and Craftsman Association.
Mary Louise is survived by several nieces and nephews and special friends Larry and Judy Powers.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Leah Frey; brother and sisters-in-law, Harold and Thelma Bryan and Robert and Garnet Bryan.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, April 30, 2015 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Rev. Rick Bennington officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
