Robert David Hammon

Robert David Hammon, 56, of Logan, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at the Marion General Hospital in Marion. He was born April 8, 1959, in Dayton, son of Jane Dallas Hammon of Englewood, OH and the late Dr. Jerry L. Hammon.

Rob was the Treasury Manager, Vice President at the Fahey Banking Company in Marion. Formerly, he was the Executive Vice President at the Citizens Bank of Logan. He was also the former Treasurer of the Hocking Hills Tourism Association. Rob was a graduate of West Milton High School Class of 1977.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughters, Emily F. Hammon of Columbus, Tessa R. (Tyler Mellinger) Hammon of Logan and their mother, Paula Hammon of Logan; grandchildren, Ember Kaye Mellinger and her half-sister, Kinley Mellinger both of Logan; brothers, James (Crystal) Hammon of Indianapolis, IN and William (Denise) Hammon of Cincinnati; sister, Anne (Dan) Burke of Houston, TX; several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Allison Charlene “Chuck” Hammon.

Rob’s wishes were to be cremated. Friends may call at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, from 4-7 PM, Sunday, May 3, 2015. Private services will be held at a later date.

The family suggests in Lieu of flowers, contributions be made in Rob’s name to Stuarts Opera House, P.O. Box 217, Nelsonville, OH 45764.
