Evelyn E. Kern

Evelyn E. Kern, 70, of Nelsonville, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Logan Health Care Center. She was born July 6, 1944 in Lancaster, daughter of the late Clarence and Alice Lutz Snyder. She was the widow of the late Milner Kern, who passed away in 2010.

Evelyn was a member of the AMVETS Post #1985 in Lancaster. She was also an avid bingo player and loved karaoke.

She is survived by her son, Doug (Debbie) Graf of Carbon Hill; grandchildren, Milner and Brandy Graf of Ripley, WV, Lacy Graf of Dayton and Rodney Graf of West Virginia; 2 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; best friends, Connie and Lee Thornton and many other friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Edward and Gary Graf; sisters, Shirley Starky and Carolyn Culbertson and 1 brother.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Pastor Mike Thomas officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Friends may call Tuesday, June 23, 2015 from 6-8 PM, at the funeral home.
