John Samuel White

John Samuel White, 72, of Vinton, passed away Friday, June 26, 2015 at Arcadia Acres Nursing Home in Logan. He was born October 26, 1942 in Oakwood, Virginia, son of the late Clark and Ellen Street White.

He was a retired United Mine Worker and a member of Orphan’s Friend Masonic Lodge #275 in Wilkesville.

John is survived by his daughter, Lisa (John) Knox of McArthur; sons, Rocky (Teresa) Davidson of Wilkesville, Tracey Davidson of Alabama and Keith White of Wilkesville; ten grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Johnson White.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2105 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Pastor Richard Kincaid officiating. Interment will be in Salem Center Cemetery, Meigs County. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 6-8 p.m.
