Margaret Emma Legg

Margaret Emma Legg, 97, of Carbon Hill, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2015 at her residence. She was born February 28, 1918 in Columbus, daughter of the late George and Helena Armbrust Reams. Margaret was the widow of the late John G. Legg.

She is survived by her son, Donald Legg of Nelsonville; daughters, Joyce (Carl Cohee) Gessells of Columbus, Mary (Foster Sanborn) Woodrum of Nelsonville and Donna Stufflebeam of Carbon Hill; son-in-law, Vic Moran of Albany; grandchildren, Vickie (Chuck) Bernoski of Bedias, Texas, Mike (Pam) Moran of Laurelville, Kathy Pitcock of Huntsville, Texas, David Gessells of Columbus, Mark Gessells of Columbus, Sharon (Mike Cormany) Imler of Columbus, Christy (Mick) Hart of Athens, Ronnie (Tina) Brown of Nelsonville, Lisa (Don) Dupler of Carbon Hill and Greg (Shannon Brooks) Stufflebeam of Carbon Hill; twenty four great grandchildren and twelve great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Legg; sister, Stella Katherine Reams; grandchildren, Lori Ann Legg, Barbara Sharp, Chuck Bailey and David Woodrum Jr.; great grandchildren, Michael, Amanda and Ashley; great great grandchild, Summer and sons-in-law, Junior Simonton, Dave Woodrum and Frank Stufflebeam.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Monday, July 13, 2015 in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville, with Rev. Mark Dupler officiating. Interment will be in Carbon Hill Cemetery, Carbon Hill. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, one hour prior to the service.
