Freda M. Barnett

Freda Mae Barnett, 90, of McArthur, passed away Monday, July 27, 2015 at her residence. She was born December 1, 1924 in Charleston, West Virginia, daughter of the late Fred Martin and Ershel Allen. Freda was the widow of the late Russell G. Barnett.

She attended Truth Church and Locust Grove Church.

Freda is survived by her children, Christy (Roger) Allen of McArthur, Terry (Loretta) Barnett of Jackson, Jerry (Lillian) Barnett of McArthur, Timothy Barnett of McArthur, Thomas Barnett of Ray, April Ocker of Creola and Amy (JD) Waldron of McArthur; twenty five grandchildren; thirty one great grandchildren and a half sister, Judy.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Gary Barnett.

Funeral services will be held 6 p.m., Friday, July 31, 2015 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Pastor Jim Eberts officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Friends may call Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of the service.
