David F. Combs Jr.

David F. Combs Jr., 85, of Londonderry, passed away Friday, July 31, 2015 at Valley View Nursing Home in Frankfort, Ohio. He was born February 20, 1930 in Hazard, Kentucky, son of the late David F. and Nancy L. Parker Combs Sr. David was married to Betty Smith Combs, who survives.

He was a retired truck driver and devoted husband, father and grandfather.

In addition to his wife, David is survived by his children, Kathleen (Larry) Howard of Farmersville, Teresa (David) Wright of New Lebanon, Karen (Jim) Miller of Londonderry, Albert Allen of New Vienna, Gloria (Charlie) Green of Indiana, Edna North of Dayton, Peggy (Bob) Russell of Dayton and Penny (Aaron) Bennifield of New Mexico; thirty one grandchildren; forty one great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren and sisters, Jeri and Deana.

He was preceded in death by his daughters, Darlene Marker and Patty Kelly; one brother and four sisters.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Tuesday, August 4, 2015 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Vinton County. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
