Joy C. Chesser

Joy C. Chesser, 80, of Logan, passed away Friday, August 7, 2015 at her residence. She was born August 25, 1927 in Vinton County, daughter of the late George and Margaret Hallett Owings. She was the widow of the late Forest E. Chesser.

Joy is survived by a son, Leroy (Janie) Chesser of Logan; daughters, Diana Hawk of Logan, Vickie (Michael) Simonton of Logan and Sheila (Marty) Reichling of Cincinnati; daughter-in-law, Vicki Chesser of Logan; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother, William (Nellie) Owings of Logan; sister, Nellie Latham of Sebring, Florida and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Chesser; sons, David and Anthony Chesser; brothers, Arlington, George and Jack Owings; and sisters, Jean Akin, Carolyn Scott and Joann Smith.

Mrs. Chesser’s wishes were to be cremated. No services will be held at this time.
