Ocean Waveline Nelson

Ocean Waveline Nelson, 90, of Logan, passed away Monday, August 17, 2015 at Logan Health Care Center. She was born September 7, 1924 in Greendale, Ohio, daughter of the late Nathan and Rosa Wolfe Starr. Ocean was the widow of the late Howard Nelson.

She is survived by her son, Terry (Diana) Nelson of Logan; grandchildren, Terri Smart, Thomas Travis, Bethany Travis and Ryan Butcher and several great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ocean was preceded in death by her brothers, Harry, Willard, James, Theodore and Sherman Starr and sisters, Florence Pierson, Violet Maxwell, Tina Cozad, Freda Jewell, Ethel Malone and Esther Carson.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Friday, August 21, 2015 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Rev. Rick Bennington officiating. Interment will be in New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Rockbridge. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
