Virginia K. Miller

Virginia K. Miller, 69, of Marion, formerly of McArthur, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She was born March 5, 1946 in Caledonia, Ohio, daughter of the late John Evan and Henrietta Dawson Baer. Virginia was the widow of the late David Gene Miller Sr.

Virginia is survived by her daughter, Kelly (Steve) Brown of Marion; sons, Anthony (Debra) Miller of La Rue, Jeffrey (Melissa) Miller of McArthur, John (Pam) Hickman of Morral, Christopher (Diane) Miller of McArthur, David G. (Nikki) Miller Jr. of Marion and Joseph (Betsy) Hickman of Marion; twenty three grandchildren; twenty seven great grandchildren; a brother, James (Jody) Baer of Mt. Gilead; sisters, Judy (Bob) Fields of Marion, Deborah Hart of Marion and Peggy Springer of Caledonia; special friends, Joey Lester and Karen Alexander, both of New Bloomington and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by the couple who raised her, Harry and Nellie Roush; brothers, John “Mick” Baer, Fred Baer, Roger Baer and Richard Roush and her sister, Louise Akers.

A graveside service will be held 12 p.m., Saturday, August 22, 2015 in Locust Grove Cemetery, McArthur, with Pastor Trevor Littleton officiating. Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home, 122 W. Columbia St., Marion, on Friday, from 4-8 p.m. The family suggests in memory of Virginia, that everyone please wear your Ohio State University shirts.
