Thomas H. Morgan Sr.

Thomas H. Morgan Sr., 76, of McArthur, Ohio, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, August 20, 2015 at his home in McArthur. He was born January 30, 1939 in McArthur, son of the late Henry Cleveland Morgan and Margret Thompson Morgan. Thomas was married to Arla Lee Chatfield Morgan, who survives.

Thomas was well known and loved in the McArthur community for several decades. He ran his own business, Morgan Environmental and served a term as a county commission for the state of Ohio from January 1, 2007 – January 1, 2011. He was an active member of the volunteer fire department and supported many local charities and causes.

Thomas is survived by his son Thomas Jr., his step daughters Lisa Obiedo, Alice Obiedo, Kendra Krichbaum, Krista Krichbaum and Carla Krichbaum; grandchildren, Hunter, Connor, Sam, Ella, Rosa, Isabel, Jacob, and Emma; two brothers, Jake and Don and many family and friends.

He was proceeded in death by many brothers and sisters all local McArthur residents.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 25, 2015 in the McArthur Free Will Baptist Church, 408 W. Main St., McArthur, with Pastor Jim Henderson officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur, with military graveside services being conducted by the McArthur VFW Post #5299. Friends may call at the McArthur Free Will Baptist Church on Tuesday, one hour prior to the service.
