Scott Edward Hook

Scott Edward Hook, 57, of Nelsonville, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2015 at his residence. He was born August 27, 1958, son of Geraldine Handa Hook and the late Tod Hook.

He formerly worked for Altier’s Tree Service, loved his dog, Moon, gardening, hunting and shooting his guns and bows. Scott was an avid fisherman, and held the record for Largemouth Bass in the state of Ohio, for many years.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his girlfriend of 14 years, Deborah Conner; sons, Josh Thompson of Chillicothe, Dusty (Amanda) Hook of Carpenter, Scott Andrew Hook of Athens and Donald (Tiffany Barron) Platt of Nelsonville; daughters, Beth Trout of Nelsonville and Amy (Jason) Hook of Corning; grandchildren, Jasmine, Anthony, Allaina, Mason, Landon, Cauley, Joseph, Michala, Johnny and Mikayla; brother, Tod Hook of Rineyville, KY; sisters, Lisa Parker of The Plains and Carrie Foster of Newport, TN; aunt, Gay (John) Campbell of Chauncey and several nieces and nephews.

No services will be held. Arrangements are by Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville.
