Lavon Maynard

Lavon Maynard, 67, of McArthur, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at his residence. He was born February 22, 1948 in Dunlow, West Virginia, son of Betty Jo Elster Bywaters of Columbus and the late Leonard Maynard. Lavon was married to Delores June Lowe Maynard, who survives.

He was a retired concrete superintendent for Ceco Concrete Construction in Hamilton, Ohio.

Lavon is survived by his sons, Duane Maynard of South Bloomfield, Darrick (Tiffany) Maynard of New Plymouth and Keith Maynard; daughter, Lavonda (Travis) Faught of McArthur; nine grandchildren; brothers, Herbie Maynard and Larry Maynard and a sister, Linda Rose.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Terry Maynard.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Friday, September 18, 2015 in the Locust Grove United Methodist Church, 26544 Locust Grove Rd., McArthur. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Locust Grove United Methodist Church on Friday, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.

Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.
