Pearl E. Chappelear

Pearl E. Chappelear, 94, of Logan, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Logan Health Care Center. She was born January 12, 1921 in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of the late Elmer and Ethel Robinson Adams. Pearl was the widow of the late Albert S. Chappelear.

She was formerly employed at Goodyear and attended the First Church Praise and Worship Center in Logan.

Pearl is survived by her son, John W. (Carole) Chappelear of Logan; daughters, Carol Marzano of Logan and Christine (Foster) Lewis of Glouster; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; a brother, Gene Adams of Jeffersonville; sisters, Ellen McComas and Barbara Wolfe, both of Columbus; sister-in-law, Bessie Chappelear of Columbus; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sons, Albert Chappelear Jr. and James D. Roach; stepmother, Reece Adams; grandson, James L. Roach; brother, Calvin Adams and sisters, Doris McComas, Betty Nance, Maxine Pierce and Imogene Pierce.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at the First Church and Praise and Worship Center, 30750 Lake Logan Rd., Logan, with Rev. Mike Martin officiating. Interment will be in New Straitsville Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, on Monday from 5-8 p.m. and on Tuesday, one hour prior to the service at the church.
