Frederick E. Wade

Frederick E. Wade, 80, of New Plymouth, passed away Monday, October 12, 2015 at his residence. He was born April 28, 1935 in Nelsonville, son of the late Clyde and Hazel Hickman Wade. He was the widower of the late Shirley McDaniel Wade.

Fred was a 1954 graduate of Union Furnace High School and a 1962 graduate of Ohio University. He was a Civil Engineer and was employed by Centex Construction at the time of his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and working in his garden. He traveled the country professionally, with his family, eventually returning to Hocking County in 2000.

Fred is survived by a son, Jeff Wade of Dallas, Texas; sister-in-law, Bette Browning of Lancaster; brother-in-law, Vaughn McDaniel of Bonifay, Florida; several nieces, nephews and friends.

A celebration of Fred’s life will be held at Lee’s Banquet Haus, 580 Radio Lane, Logan, Sunday, October 18, 2015 from 3-5 PM. A private graveside service will be held at Asbury Cemetery, Hocking County at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 East Second St., Logan.
