Dorothy Forrest

Dorothy Forrest, 83, of Circleville formerly of McArthur passed away November 14, 2015 at Brown Memorial Home in Circleville. She was born August 5, 1932 in McArthur, daughter of the late Claude Horton and Della Florence Clark Forrest.

She was a retired secretary on Wall Street in New York City and was employed by Fahnstock Company. She was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War Era.

She is survived by special friend and companion Lou Massa; sisters Betty Smith of Creola, Loretta (Lindsey) Lemaster of McArthur, Shirley (Donald) Tobias of Circleville and Judy (Michael) Mango of Chillicothe; nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by sisters Helen Pettenger and Mary Woodgeard.

Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday November 20, 2015 at Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating. Interment will be in Otterbein Cemetery, Vinton County, with military graveside services being conducted by the McArthur VFW Post #5299. Friends may visit from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday November 19, 2015 at the funeral home. Donations in her memory may be made to the VFW #5299, 401 Veterans Memorial Dr., McArthur, Ohio 45651.
