Lonnie Allison Smith

Lonnie Allison Smith, 73, of Albany, formerly of Columbus, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2015 at his residence. He was born April 4, 1942 in Columbus, son of the late Albert and Julia Ann Clark Smith. Lonnie was married for 53 years to Mary Florence Waters Smith, who survives.

He was the retired owner and operator of Craft Decorating for 40 years and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Lonnie is survived by his son, Ronnie (Fiancé, Melissa) Smith of Columbus; daughter, Theresa (John) Stamper of Columbus; grandchildren, Doug, Kelly and Kari Smith and Emily Ann Stamper; brother, Dave Smith of Mt. Sterling and long time friends, Art and Rose Persinger of Orient.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry and Robert Smith.

Per Lonnie’s request, no services or visitation will be held. Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Lonnie Smith to your local Hospice or American Cancer Society.
