David Dean Burchett, 79, of Logan, passed away December 4, 2015 at his residence. He was born on February 26, 1936 in Rosemount, Ohio, son of the late William Olen and Cuba Pauline Howerton Burchett. He was married to Deborah L. Heiser Burchett, who survives, for 31 years.
David was retired General Telephone and Electric and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
In addition to his wife, Deborah, he is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Jamie Burchett of Charleston, West Virginia; granddaughter, June Burchett, brothers, Lowell (Ruth Ann) Burchett of Lucasville, Gerald (Pat) Burchett of Lucasville, Phil (Sheila) Burchett of Scottsville, Kentucky, Larry (Brenda) Burchett of Florida; sisters, Doris (Don) Bentley of Buckeye Lake and Joan Uhl of Lucasville and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, James and Emory Burchett and sisters, Judy Queen and Linda Hoffer
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 6935 Township Rd 234, Logan, with Pastor Steve Hubbard Officiating. Friends may call Sunday from 1:30- 3:00 PM at the church.
