Cynthia “Cindy” Jo Hatfield, 58, of Logan, passed away Monday, December 7, 2015 at the Pickering House in Lancaster. She was born February 17, 1957 in Logan and raised in Haydenville, daughter of the late James C. and Emily Lucille Rupe Harkless. She was married to Tom Hatfield, Jr., who survives, for 38 years, 1 month and 2 days.
Cindy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She briefly worked at Hocking Valley Community Hospital, loved attending car shows with her red Mustang and attending and supporting her granddaughter’s activities including archery and horse shows. She loved her animals, was an avid reader and loved her diet Mountain Dew.
She is survived by a daughter, Samantha (Shawn) McGrady of Rockbridge; son, Tom Hatfield III of Logan; granddaughter, Heidi Jo “Doodlebug” McGrady; sister, Jamey (Jonathan) Miller of Logan; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Don Hatfield, Lorena Harkless, Amy (David) Grove, Pam (Dean) Sigler, Val (Connie) Hatfield, Jeff (Lisa) Hatfield and Debbie (Darrell) Dexter; mother-in-law Evelyn Hatfield; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Rick and Rocky Harkless and sister, Edna “Cookie” Hatfield.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, December 11, 2015 at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 East Second St., Logan with DJ Hatfield and Pastor Jason Hoeflich officiating. Interment will be at Knollwood Cemetery, Logan. Friends may call Thursday, December 10, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
