Delano R. Skaggs, 73, of Haydenville, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital in Logan. He was born December 14, 1941 in South Salem, Ohio, son of the late James Lloyd and Mary Bechler Skaggs. Delano was married to Pauline Hamilton Skaggs, who survives.
He retired from Logan Clay Products, was a minister and a Navy Veteran.
Delano is survived by his sons, Tony Skaggs of Logan, Steven (Ruth Ann) Skaggs of Montana, Jonathan (Rachel) Skaggs of Montana and Samuel (Christie) Skaggs of New Straitsville; daughters, Tammy (Kevin) Thomas of New Straitsville, Lily (Joel) Pyatskowit of Wisconsin, Faith (David) Kegley of Fairborn and Abby (Joe) Moss of Logan; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; five brothers and two sisters.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, several brothers and a sister.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, December 15, 2015 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with John Skaggs and Joel Pyatskowit officiating. Interment will be in New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Rockbridge, with military graveside services being conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from 6-8 p.m.
