Harold Eugene “Punky” Phillips, 75, of Logan, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital in Logan. He was born March 28, 1940 in Hocking County, son of the late Murry S. and Mary Jane Van Curen Phillips. Punky was married to Donna Charlene Smith Phillips, who survives.
He retired from Don Wood body shop after 17 years of service and formerly worked at Tansky’s body shop for 24 years of service. Punky was a member of the First Church of Christ in Logan.
He is survived by his sons, Michael Phillips, Joe (Beth) Phillips and David (Amy) Grove, all of Logan; daughter, Tina (Derek) Palmer of Logan; twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Christman and grandchildren, Lacy and Jordan Grove.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 12, 2016 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Mark Barrell and Andy Good officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
