Steve Allen Day

Steve Allen Day, 51, of McArthur, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2016 at his residence. He was born June 8, 1964 in Columbus, son of the late Steve Burke and Etta Fay Day.

Steve is survived by his sons, Ryan (Cassie) Day of Hamden and Brandon Day of Wellston; daughters, Kelsey Day of McArthur and Stephanie Woods of Tennessee; three grandchildren; brother, Jimmy Day of McArthur; sisters, Belinda (Joe) Duncan of Stilwell, Oklahoma, Sylvia Day of Chillicothe and Rhonda (Junior) Amerine of Creola; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Steve Allen Day Jr. and grandparents, Pete and Dorothy Weiss.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, January 13, 2016 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Pastor Steve Benson officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Vinton County at a later date. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
