Mary Sue Williams

Mary Sue Williams, 79, of Logan, passed away Monday, February 1, 2016 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She was born March 26, 1936 in Hocking County, daughter of the late Sherman J. and Rose Hickenbottom Poling. Mary was married to Robert J. Williams, who survives.

She retired from General Electric in Logan and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Logan.

Mary is survived by her son, Danny (Kristi Carnahan) Williams of Logan; daughter, Rhonda (Ray) McQuaide of Logan; stepson, Kenneth E. (Tseku) Williams of Jennings, Louisiana; nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Dave Poling and sisters, Alice Holcomb, Grace Ledford, Gertrude Wolfe and Wanda Poling.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Friday, February 5, 2016 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 6935 Twp. Rd. 234, Logan, with Rev. Steve Hubbard officiating. Interment will be in Smith Chapel Cemetery, Logan. Friends may call at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, on Wednesday, from 6-8 p.m., on Thursday, at the Ebenezer Baptist Church from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and on Friday, one hour prior to the service at the church.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Mary Sue Williams to Ebenezer Baptist Church, 6935 Twp. Rd. 234, Logan, Ohio 43138.
