Paula Jean "Pod" Douglas

Paula J. “Pod” Douglas, 61, of Millfield, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016 at her residence. She was born November 28, 1954 in Athens, the daughter of Juanita Hart Douglas of Stewart and the late Paul Douglas. She was the widow of the late Raymond Vincent Carsey who passed away in 2009.

Pod is survived by sister, Ella Crum of Chauncey; brother, Sam (Kathy) Douglas of Stewart; brother-in-law, Jack Carsey of Millfield; special friend Cindy Meek of Millfield; nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband and father, she was preceded in death by brother, George Douglas and sister, Francis Crum.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, March 21, 2016 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville. Rev. Bill Hunter officiating. Interment will be at Hilltop Cemetery, Millfield. Friends may call from 11:00 AM, until the time of service, at the funeral home. The family has requested donations be made to Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette Street, Nelsonville, Ohio 45764 to help with funeral expenses.

The family has announced there will be a memorial gathering for family and friends Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Chauncey Park.
