Ricky G. Barney

Ricky G. Barney, 58, of McArthur, passed away Saturday April 2, 2016 at his mother's residence in Ray. He was born February 7, 1958 in Gallipolis, son of Lola M. Worrix Barney of Ray and the late Willis Gilbert Barney. He was married to Stephanie Lynn Patterson Barney who survives.

He was career Air Force Veteran and retired as a Master Sergeant. Member of VFW #5299, McArthur. He was greatly loved and will be sadly missed by his loving family.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by siblings Jimmy (Diana) Barney of Bellville, Illinois, Nolan Barney of Ray, John David “J.D.” Barney of Ray and Lisa Green of Jackson; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., PO Box 302, McArthur, Ohio 45651 with Pastor Riley Coleman and Rev. Danny Minton officiating. Interment will follow at Bell Cemetery in Vinton County with military honors given by the McArthur VFW #5299. Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
