Joan Marie West

Joan Marie West, 86, of Zaleski, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016 at her residence. She was born May 27, 1929 in McArthur, daughter of the late James F. and Lucille Stevens Johnson. Joan was married to Aaron H. West, who survives.

Joan is survived by her son, John (Lucille) Stricklin of Marion; daughters, Sherry Smith of McArthur, Kelly (Terry Hale) West of McArthur and Kathy Jo Reynolds; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; brothers, James Johnson of Gallion, Frank Johnson of Hamden and Richard Johnson of McArthur and special friend, Theresa Thompson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Johnson and sister, Norma Bigham.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, April 11, 2016 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Jerry Griffith Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, from 5-8 p.m.
