Elvetta "Vet" Eberts

Elvetta “Vet” Eberts, 99, of Hamden, Ohio, went home to be with her precious Lord and Savior, Monday, April 11, 2016. Vet was born February 18, 1917 in Vinton County, daughter of the late Pearl E. and Minnie Elizabeth Beebe Wiseman. She was married to Clarence Everett “Ez” Eberts for nearly 60 years, prior to his death in February, 1996.

Vet was a long standing member of Puritan Freewill Baptist Church on State Route 160 in Hamden, Ohio. Her life was dedicated to her loving family, church and church family.

She is survived by her loving and devoted children, Sally (Roger) Ballard, Glen Eberts, Steve Eberts and daughter-in-law, Carol Eberts; grandchildren, Jeff (Kathleen) Eberts, Mike (Dana) Eberts, Cheryl Ballard James, David (Nina) Ballard and Matthew Eberts; great grandchildren, Michael Eberts, Kyle (Laura) Eberts, Christina James, Isaac Eberts, Eric Eberts, Phillip (Joia) Dooley, Jessica (Matt) Stallbaum and Trisha (Charlie) Winter; great great grandchildren, Elizabeth Cook, Blake, Luke Eberts, Keenan, Moriah and Caleb Dooley, Reagan, Hudson and Adilyn Stallbaum and Micah and Kiah Winter; sisters, Nell (Esau) Eberts and Irene (Gary) Walton; brother, Donald Wiseman and many very loving and special nieces and nephews.

Vet was preceded in death by her son, Roger Eberts; brothers, Ott, Glen, Frank, Raymond and Butch Wiseman and her sister, Frances Wiseman Eberts.

Services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the Puritan Freewill Baptist Church in Hamden, with Brother David McKnight officiating. Interment will be in Hamden Cemetery, Hamden. Visitation will be held at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur on Friday, from 5-8 p.m. and on Saturday, one hour prior to the service at the church.
