Madelyn M. Corwin

Madelyn M. Corwin, 95, of Etna, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital, Columbus. She was born November 11, 1920 in Nelsonville, the daughter of the late Melvin and Mildred Skiver Bruce. She was the widow of the late Montrose Corwin.

Madelyn retired from Rockwell International in Columbus after 25 years of service. She attended the Summit Baptist Church in Pataskala.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Shirley Corwin of Pataskala; grandsons, Robert Corwin of Marysville, Michael Corwin of Etna, Kevin Corwin of London and Keith Corwin of Pataskala; great grandsons, Joshua, Nathaniel, Kasey and Kevin Jr.; a sister Juanita Oliver and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Madelyn was preceded in death by a son, Monty Lee Corwin; brother, Dale Bruce; sisters, Margaret Hawk, Gail Barber, Mercedine Warren and Florine Bruce.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, April 15, 2015 at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St, Nelsonville with Pastor Andrew Stine officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call Friday from 12 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
