Forest "Ed" Edgar Campbell

April 8, 1947 — April 23, 2016

Forest Edgar Campbell “Ed”, 69, of McArthur, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, April 23, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 8, 1947 in Washington Court House, Ohio, son of Wilma Anders Kelso of Wilmington, Ohio and the late Junior E. Campbell. Ed is survived by his high school sweetheart of 49 years, Phyllis Jean DeWeese Campbell.

He was a retired Millwright from AK Steel in Middletown and a Vietnam Air Force Veteran. Ed was an active member of the Albany Baptist Church since moving to the area in 2002, was an avid hunter and was a three time recipient and member of the Ohio Big Buck Club. He enjoyed restoring and showing vintage automobiles, especially one little green 49er.

In addition to his mother and wife, Ed is survived by his son, Douglas Edgar (Michelle) Campbell of New Lebanon, Ohio; daughter, Kelli Jean (DaWayne) Hundley of Centerville; grandchildren, Kaleb Lee Campbell, Jacob Douglas Campbell, Hannah Elizabeth (Justin) Hunter, Rachel Leeanne Hundley and Jared Daniel Hundley; sister, Judith (Ronald) Taylor of Reesville and several special extended family members.

A celebration of life service will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, April 30, 2016 at the Albany Baptist Church 5331 State Road, Albany, Ohio, with Pastor Carl Prokop officiating. Military services will be conducted by the Albany VFW Post #9893 and the Albany American Legion Post #21 immediately following the service at the church. Interment will be approximately 3 p.m., Saturday, in Washington Cemetery, Washington Court House.
