Ralph Leroy Nelson, 93, of Logan, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2016 at his residence. He was born January 30, 1923 in Dexter, Ohio, son of the late Ervil and Lorinda Bail Nelson. Ralph was married to the late Mary Lash Nelson.
He retired from Wolsky Stair Company in Logan and was a WWII Army Veteran. Ralph attended the Nelsonville United Methodist Church and was a former member of the Logan Bowling Association. He was also a member of the American Legion, the DAV and the VFW in Logan.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers, William, Clyde, Ray, Howard, Walter, Charles and Clay Nelson and sisters, Lena Bailey, Madelyn Moore, Pauline Stephenson, Jessie Woolever and Wanda Nelson.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Friday, May 13, 2016 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Rev. Rick Bennington officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville, with military graveside services being conducted by the Combined Color Guard Unit. Friends may call on Friday, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
