Lorraine Ellen Alsterberg

Lorraine Ellen Alsterberg, 57, of Tualatin, Oregon, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2016 as a result of an auto accident in Vinton County, Ohio. She was born January 20, 1959 in Sioux St. Marie, Michigan, daughter of Edward F. Foerster of Amity, Oregon and the late Dorothy J. Barnett Foerster. Lorraine was married to Brad Lee Alsterberg, who survives.

She was a NICU Registered Nurse for Randal Children’s Hospital in Portland, Oregon and worked as such for 36 years. She was a member of Living Savior Lutheran Church in Tualatin, Oregon. Lori was a loving mother and wife and all who knew her were touched by her kind and caring demeanor.

Lorraine is survived by her son, Steven Michael Alsterberg of Beaverton, Oregon; brother, Jeff Foerster of Puyallup, Washington; sister, Peggy (Evan) Lewelling of Tigard, Oregon; sister-in-law, Lori Stearns; brothers-in-law, Greg Alsterberg of Alaska and Kent Alsterberg of Portland, Oregon; mother-in-law, Inez N. Alsterberg of Newberg, Oregon and nieces and nephews, Jason, Tiffany and Emily Lewelling, Christopher Stearns, Stacy Isenbert and Kirstie Brown.

In addition to being preceded in death by her mother, she was accompanied in death by her sister, Lisa Renee Foerster; niece, Emma Hamel and nephew, Thomas Hamel.

Funeral services will be held in Portland, Oregon at the convenience of the family. Local arrangements are by Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville.
