Margaret E. Hubble

Margaret E. Hubble, 89, of Nelsonville, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at her residence. She was born February 24, 1927 in Carbon Hill, the daughter of the late Edgar and Lena Bowers Stedwill. She was the widow of the late Harley Joe Hubble.

Margaret retired as the Dean of the School of Nursing at Hocking College. She earned her Nursing degree from The Ohio State University and later earned a Masters of Education from Ohio University and a Masters of Nursing from Wright State University. She was a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nursing. Margaret was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by her children, Joe (Cheryl) Hubble of Gallipolis, Beth (Ed) Sipe of Chillicothe, Meg Shingler and Sarah (Dan) Frazier both of Nelsonville; grandchildren, Jessica Sipe, Jenny Barns, Katie Hubble, Joe, Lenna and Emma Frazier; great grandchildren, Ben, Mady and Jacob Brown, Molly Guerin Sipe and Samuel and Gwenyth Frazier; brother, Roland (Terry) Stedwill of Toledo; several nieces and a nephew; dear friends, Rosamond Wilson and Susan Ferguson.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, June 17, 2016 at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St, Nelsonville with Pastor David Shoemaker officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call Thursday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
