Ruth Eloise Harper, 93, of McArthur, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Maple Hills Nursing Home in McArthur. She was born August 16, 1922 in Ray, Ohio, daughter of the late Floyd and Muriel Ray. Eloise was the widow of the late John W. Harper.
She was a member of the McArthur VFW Post #5299 Ladies Auxiliary.
Eloise is survived by her grandson, Bruce (Sharon) Fout of Creola; three great grandchildren; brothers, Elwin “Buck” Ray of Ray, Bruce (Penny) Ray of Wellston and Francis (Melody) Ray of Ray; sisters, Donna Mavis and Sue Jarvis, both of Chillicothe and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Joyce Fout and several brothers and sisters.
A memorial service will be held 3 p.m., Friday, July 1, 2016 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating. Inurnment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur, at a later date. Friends may call at the funeral home on hour prior to the service.
