David Lawrence Wolfe, 76, of Creola, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, June 27, 2016 at The Pickering House in Lancaster. He was born October 5, 1939 in Creola, son of the late Harold and Nellie Hewitt Wolfe. Lawrence was married to Beverly Perry Wolfe, who survives.
He retired from the Ohio Department of Natural Recourses Division of Forestry and was a very active member of the Cornelius Chapel Church in Creola. Lawrence was extremely active with 4-H in Vinton County where he was a 46 year Vinton County Fair Board Member as well as a 46 year 4-H Advisor.
He is survived by his son, Grant (Angie) Wolfe of Wellston; daughter, Janet Ervin of Wellston; grandchildren, Lesley, Timothy, Avonlee, Amanda and Alexandria and brothers, Lloyd Wolfe of Creola and Gary (Jan) Wolfe of Wellston.
In addition to his parents, Lawrence was preceded in death by his sister, Ann Karns.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, June 30, 2016 at the Cornelius Chapel Church, 64894 Karns Ave., Creola, with Rev. Jerry Griffith Jr. and Pastor Don Lamb officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur on Wednesday, from 6-8 p.m. and on Thursday, one hour prior to the service at the church.
