Albert Jackson Osborne, 85, of Wilkesville, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2016 at Cabel Huntington Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia. He was born July 15, 1930 in Wales, Kentucky, son of the late Oscar and Sophronia Gilliam Osborne. Albert was married to Mary Bradford Osborne, who survives.
He was a retired Journeyman Electrician, a Marine Veteran of the Korean Conflict as well as an Ordained Minister in the Old Regular Baptist Church.
Albert is survived by his sons, Alan J. Osborne of Wilkesville, Christopher Osborne of Cincinnati and Matthew Foster of Corning; grandchildren, Adam and Dalton Foster and great grandchild, Alaina Foster.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Oscar Eugene Osborne.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, July 8, 2016 at Maggie’s Home Church, Dundas with Elder Donald Mullins, Elder Jerry Runyon and Elder Greg Sowards officiating. Interment will be in Athens Memory Gardens, Athens, with military graveside services being conducted by the Albany VFW Post #9893. Friends may call at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur on Thursday, from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday, one hour prior to the service at the church.
