Kathleen Ann Matheny

Kathleen Ann Matheny, 69, of Maricopa, Arizona, formerly of Nelsonville, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Chandler Regional Hospital in Chandler, Arizona. She was born December 16, 1946 in Columbus, daughter of the late Gerald Maynard and Inez Narelle VonSchriltz Longstreth. Kathleen was the widow of the late James Edgar Matheny.

She attended the First Baptist Church in Nelsonville.

Kathleen is survived by her daughters, Kimberly (Chuck) Craig of Reedsville, Ohio, Kristina (Mitch) Haines of Nelsonville and Kara (Steve) Bless of Maricopa, Arizona; step daughters, Laura (Bill) Francis of Columbus and Linda (Doug) Blunt of Jackson; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and a sister, Debbie (Jerry) Morris of Columbus.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Geraldine Longstreth and brother, David Longstreth.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, August 4, 2016 in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
