Lisa May Hagerty

Lisa May Hagerty “Yaya”, 53, of McArthur, passed away in her home on September 7, 2016, surrounded by her family and dear friends. She was born on June 24, 1963 in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Lisa was preceded in death by her beloved father, Earl Edward Hagerty.

She is survived by her mother, Jo Ellen Hagerty; her children, Andrew (Elsa) Gilliland and Mindy (Cody) Caldwell; her grandchildren, Madisyn, Quinn, and Cormac Caldwell; her siblings, Sean (Laura) Hagerty, Kevin Hagerty, Carlin Hagerty, and Laura (Rick) Friend; and several nieces and nephews. Lisa is also survived by several close friends, “The Girls.”

With her infectious laugh and passion for life, Lisa enamored everyone she met. She was an outstanding mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend, and her life was a testament to making the most of each moment. Lisa leaves behind a legacy of joy and love to be carried on by the many lives she touched. She is already missed.

A continuation of life service will be held 2:30 p.m., Sunday, September 11, 2016 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
