Kyle Edward "Reeves" Keiffer

Kyle E. “Reeves” Keiffer, 26, of Buchtel, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Columbus. He was born April 10, 1990 in Lancaster, son of Laura (Robert) Wirick Davis and Mark Keiffer.

Kyle was a 2008 graduate of Nelsonville-York High School and attended Hocking College. He was a member of the Nelsonville VFW Post 3467, Jacksonville Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #1034 and the Buchtel Bandits. He loved the Denver Broncos, was an avid fisherman, was a league bowler in Logan and a pool shark wherever he played. Kyle lived life to the fullest and was known for many things. He loved to travel and was known for his infectious smile, his collection of tennis shoes and taking and sharing pictures of the skies and especially sunsets.

In addition to his parents, Kyle is survived by his girlfriend and the love of his life, Jessica “Jeddi” Richards; sister, Chelsey (Kevin) Young of Buchtel; brothers, Sean Keiffer of Buchtel, Eric (Nicole) Davis of Pennsylvania, Trevor Polley of Indiana, Jade and Shaey Keiffer both of Athens; nephews, Braeden Young, Grayson Young and Alec Davis; and his pitbull Tess “Teske”.

Kyle was preceded in death by a brother, Brian Keiffer; aunt, Deb Ritter; uncle, Michael Wirick; maternal grandparents, Alta “Betty” and Ronald Wirick; paternal grandparents, Ralph and Gertrude Keiffer and Ramona “Susie” and Paul Conrad.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 22, 2016 at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home with Rev Ronald Chunn officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral.

Contributions in memory of Kyle E. Keiffer may be made to the Heart Center at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, 700 Childrens Dr., Columbus, Ohio 43205.

The family would like to extend a word of thanks and gratitude to the cardiology team at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, his doctors, Dr. Darren Berman and Dr. Anna Kamp as well as everyone who lifted Kyle up with prayer and support.
