Archie Fouts, 83, of Hamden, passed away Friday, October 7, 2016 at Four Winds Nursing Home in Jackson. He was born November 9, 1932 in Etty, Kentucky, son of the late Malcolm and Laura Stewart Fouts.
Archie was a boiler man at Industrial Timber & Land and a Marine Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was the Past Commander of the Albany VFW Post #9893 and was a Life Member of the American Legion.
Archie is survived by his brothers, Phillip (Dorothy) Fouts and Donald (Priscilla) Fouts, both of Jackson and sister, Florence Fleming of Hamden.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Kermit and Alvis Fouts and sister, Delcie Ousley.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, October 12, 2016 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Chaplain Richard Grinstead officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur, with military graveside services being conducted by the Albany VFW Color Guard. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 until the time of the service.
