Dorothy Luella Pancake

Dorothy L. Pancake, 84, of Nelsonville, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016 at OhioHealth O’Bleness Hospital, Athens. She was born May 28, 1932 in Nelsonville, the daughter of the late Leroy and Clarice Sweazy VanDyke. She was the widow of the late Harold Dean Pancake.

Dorothy was a member of the Happy Hollow Community Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Cathy (Roger) McCune and Cheryl (Mick) Keirns both of Millfield; grandchildren, Steve (Lisa) McCune of Corning, Kristie (Robert) Zimmerman of Millfield and Tom Keirns Jr. of Millfield; great grandchildren, Kelsey and Conner Zimmerman and Tylor and Ryleigh Newman; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Walls and sister, Helen Wolfe.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St, Nelsonville with Pastor Woody Frasure officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery New Addition, Nelsonville. Friends may call Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
