Ruth L. Reynolds Craig Evans

Ruth L. Reynolds Craig Evans, 81, of McArthur, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. She was born December 4, 1934 in Richland Township, Vinton County, daughter of the late Willard “Bill” Reynolds Sr. and Mary Nickels Reynolds. Ruth is survived by her life partner, Wilbur “Shorty” Ellis of McArthur.

She was a life member of the F.O.E. #2279 in McArthur, a life member of the McArthur VFW Ladies Auxiliary #5299 and was a member of the Senior Citizens in McArthur.

Ruth is survived by her son, John (Mary) Craig of McArthur; daughters, Sarah Jane (Don) Barker of Boise, Idaho, Betty (Lonny) Mansperger of Londonderry, Brenda (Steve) Carrington of Jackson, Shirley (Keith) Sheets of Londonderry and Joyce (Dale) Bright of Jackson; six grandchildren, Wendy, Lonny, Jeremy, Brian, Chyann and Jessica; seven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and a sister, Edith (Glenn) Lewis of Columbus.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herschel Craig; sisters, Anna Marie Reynolds and Mary Ellen Markin and a brother, Willard Reynolds Jr.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 2, 2016 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Pastor David Peoples officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Vinton County. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 5-8 p.m.
