Gerald L. Kennard

Gerald L. Kennard, 80, of New Marshfield, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster. He was born February 18, 1936 in Carbondale, son of the late Charles Muyr and Cledyth Josephine Barnhart Kennard. Gerald was married to Jessie May Anderson Potter Kennard, who survives.

Gerald was a truck driver, Army Veteran and attended the Nelsonville Pentecostal Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Tona (Eric) Adamson of Danville, Alabama; steps sons, Steven T. (Karen) Potter of Grant, Michigan and Johnathon E. (Bonnie) Potter of Coldwater, Mississippi; stepdaughters, Faith Marie Potter of Hesperia, Michigan, Joy Annette (Raymond) Bridgeman of High Point, North Carolina and Judy Lynn Konoff of Hesperia, Michigan; grandchildren, Brandy Lowery of Danville, Alabama, Michael Sickles of Satsuma, Florida, John Sickles of Danville, Alabama, and Justin Sanderson of Danville, Alabama including numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren and a brother, Greg (Karen Young) Kennard of Nelsonville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Alex; great granddaughter, Selena; stepson, Andrew Potter; stepdaughter, Molly Jean Sayers and a sister, Rosemary McClain.

Geralds wishes were to be cremated. No services will be held. Arrangements are by Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the workers from Fosterbridge, The Laurels, Fairfield Medical Center, Logan Health Care Center, DaVita Dialysis and the VA Transport for their care.
