Clyde “Dit” Largent, 98 of Logan, passed away Friday, November 25, 2016 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital in Logan. He was born February 14, 1918 in Rabbit Ridge in Vinton County, Ohio, son of the late Thomas V. and Fay Rardain Largent. Clyde was married to the late Kathryn A. Glancy Largent.
He retired from Carborundum in Logan as a Leadman and attended the Hocking Hills Church of Christ. Clyde was a WWII Army Veteran and was the oldest WWII active duty Veteran in Hocking and Vinton Counties.
Clyde is survived by his sister, Dolly Bray of Logan and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Monday, November 28, 2016 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Rev. Bruce Livingston officiating. Interment will be in New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Rockbridge, with military graveside services being held by the Hocking County Honor Guard. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, one hour prior to the service.
