Billy Frank Hatfield, 80, of Newark, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Licking County Memorial Hospital in Newark. He was born June 3, 1936 in Delbarton, West Virginia, son of the late Valentine Wall and Edith Watters Hatfield. Bill was married to Nina Shirlene Adair Hatfield, who survives.
He was a retired coal miner and Army Veteran.
Billy is survived by his son, Nathan David Hatfield of Newark; daughters, Shelia (Rusty) Six of Breman, Deronda (Anson) Rhoads of Maringo and d’Linda (Troy) Adams of Crooksville; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brothers, Rush Hatfield of Columbus, Jimmy Hatfield of Columbus and Rodney Hatfield of Delbarton, West Virginia and a sister, Sylvia Lou Cisco of Delbarton, West Virginia.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Nina Jean Hatfield; brothers, Robert Elliott, Valentine Jr., William Troy, Tom and Bryant Hatfield and a sister, Mildred Lowery.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, December 22, 2016 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan. Interment will be in Knollwood cemetery, Logan, with military graveside services being conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 4-8 p.m.
