Daniel Scott “Jack” Shelor, 85, of Logan, passed away Monday, January 2, 2017 at his residence. He was born September 11, 1931 in Smith River, Virginia, son of the late Mark H. and Amy Scott Shelor. Jack was married to Nancy Marcum Shelor, who survives.
Jack retired from General Motors as a machinist, was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and was an avid guitar player, musician and singer.
He is survived by his son, Harold (Diane) Cooper of Columbus; daughters, Charlene (Tom) Hackney of Logan, Diane (Rick) Nigh of Logan and Dreama (Johnny) Ferrell of Logan; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his son, Mark Shelor and two sisters.
Friends may call at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, on Saturday, from 2-4 p.m.
