Frederick Paul Tucker, 85, of Logan, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Logan Health Care Center. He was born May 20, 1931 in Hocking County, son of the late Jesse and Dottie Thompson Tucker. Paul was married to the late Mildred “Millie” Tucker.
He was a retired welder and a Navy veteran. Paul was a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church, as well as a member of Mingo Lodge #171 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus, Logan Chapter#75 RAM, Logan Commandery #78, Knights Templar, Hock-Hocking Chapter #39 Royal & Select Masons, Aladdin Temple Shrine and Hocking Hills Shrine Club. Paul was also a member of the Logan Amvets, Logan Moose Lodge, Logan Eagles and N.R.A.
Paul is survived by his daughter, Dodie (Roger) Carpenter of Logan; grandchildren, Marisa Wilson of Logan and Ryan (Kimberly) Carpenter of Lancaster; great grandchildren, Tucker and Jenna Wilson, both of Logan and sisters, Donna (David) Williamson of Logan and Doris Baker of West Point, Mississippi.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Angle Tucker; son, Floyd Lee Tucker; brother, Georgie Lee Tucker and sister, Sue Lehman.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 6, 2017 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan. Interment will be in Friendship Cemetery, Perry County, with military graveside services being conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. where a Masonic service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
