Kenneth Wayne Powell Sr., 61, of Jackson, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. He was born November 18, 1955 in McArthur, son of Norman H. Powell of McArthur and Kay F. Morgan of Michigan. Kenny was married to the late Carolyn Perry Powell.

He was a former carpenter.

In addition to his parents, Kenny is survived by his granddaughter, Christina of Jackson; great grandson Bradley; step mother, Carrie Holtz Powell of McArthur; two half brothers; one step brother; one half sister and two step sisters.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Wayne “Little Kenny” Powell Jr. and step sister, Jeannine Bowden.

No services will be held. Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.
